Madsen puts it right!

Thursday, September 1st, 2005

Mr. Madsen at Little-Gamers wrote his thoughts about Katrina.
Since LG doesnt have direct links to their rants i’ll quote the whole shabam here.

.. it’s weird how a Industrial country turns into a 3′rd world country after a natural disaster, all thanks to the huge class-difference.

I’m having a hard time seeing loting and (videogame-) violence as something that would happen if this disaster took place in sweden, and no, that has nothing to do with “sitting on a high horse” or being “judgemental”.. it’s based on the fact that the class difference isn’t as huge over here as over in the US (and I must add a “Yet” since we’re on our way to the same point, especially after the rightwing pressented their new economy proposal yesterday).

The real MadMax will not take place in australia, but in the US.

Oh, and this will (already has actually) bring prices on gas and oil up, something that I see as a good thing. Since owning a car and being able to drive around is not something one should take for granted.. it’s not a human right or something like most of you people treat it as. Gas/Oil is a natural resource that is slowly running out and you all keep wasting it on cars that you drive down to the corner to pick up milk.. oh, and it helps that whole “Global warming” thing.. you know, that fictional “Global warming” that creates all kinds of natural disasters.

Natural disasters.. shouldn’t it be human engineered disasters ?

My thoughts goes out to all the people who’s been effected by this natural disaster. My thoughts also goes out to all the idiots loting and shooting up heli’s that try to rescue people, you should all be put on an island where you could do your thing until you’re all gone.. wonder where tho, Australia is taken ;)

Sorry, enough serioustalk.. time to go buy a suit.

Big tnx to Madsen for posting what is also my thoughts* about the terrible events taking place in Louisiana. (*Helps a semi english skilled danish lad)
