How to backup your DVDs

While surfing around del.icio.us/popular today I discovered this site on how to backup your DVDs on a Mac.
It features a nice little presentation video of the programs and their usage.
Now my problem is that I dont use Macs. So what to do but do a little; How to backup your DVDs when you’re a Gates supporter (yuck).

So here goes:
1. You’ll need a DVD ripping program - For this little tutorial I use DVDshrink (I am aware that theres tons of other program and ways to do this, that produces better outputs, but this is meant as a easy and fast tutorial)
2. Download DVD shrink
3. Install DVD shrink (If you dont know how to install a program, then please carefully step away from your computer)
4. Start DVD shrink and insert the DVD you want to backup in your PCs DVD drive.
5. Press the “Open Disc” icon - DVD shrink now makes a preview. That takes roughly 1 minute.

6. Desellect the features on the disc you dont need. You know as a Dane I really dont need those other subtitles or Chinese audiotracks.

7. Press the “Backup” icon and then in the new window “OK” Sit back and relax or order some flowers for your wife. You know the time you’ll spend sitting on your ass backing up DVDs will most likely make her somewhat grumpy - hence you’ll need the flowers to soften the situation.

8. After the ripping is done, simply insert a blank DVD into your DVD burner. Sit back and relax, take a visit to ebay or amazon and see if you can find some jewelry for your woman, believe me you’ll need it.
9. DVD tray pops open, and there you have your backup.
